In a moment of sporting history, the greatest Formula One driver of his generation Lewis Hamilton and Lionel Messi, the world’s greatest footballer, were declared joint winners of the prestigious Laureus World Sportsman of the Year Award, in front of a glittering international audience in Berlin.

Icon was in charge of part of the pre-production and capturing the event entirely for another Laureus inspirational event video production. Organized by the TRASO association and supported by Laureus Sport for Good.

One more time and after many years of working with UEFA, Icon filmed the woman’s FCB team in Barcelona to add into the final video piece.

Icon produced this video for Beko, building an entire set at Barcelona FC’s training installations big enough to house the LED wall we had in the background.

2014 started where we left off with UEFA in 2013; running about all over Europe.
So far this year, we have filmed in Marbella, Madrid twice, Lisbon three times, Sevilla three times, Barcelona, Macedonia, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia, Bosnia and Munich where this piece was shot. Next we’re off to Hungary at the end of July for the U19 Championship. All content filmed by Felipe and JP, and directed/produced by Nick Bolger.
