Icon International is an independent production company based in Barcelona, providing premium production services across Spain and Portugal for the global screen industry.
Founded in 2002, Icon partners with broadcasters, studios, brands and production companies to deliver high-end film production, television production, documentaries, commercials and branded content. Our credits include the BBC, Netflix, UEFA, Skydance and Amazon Prime, with more than two decades of experience supporting international productions filming in Spain and Portugal. Combining deep local knowledge with an international production mindset, we help ambitious projects move seamlessly from concept to delivery.
Alongside production services, Icon also develops and produces original films and documentaries, including the Netflix documentary Broken Health and the award-recognised Stay Homas: The Band That Shouldn't Exist. Working as both a production partner and a creative producer gives us a unique perspective, combining practical expertise with a genuine understanding of the creative process.
About Nick Bolger
Nick Bolger moved to Spain in 1997 for the best reason - love. Now fully fluent in multiple languages, culture and lifestyle, he has built an internationally renowned production company from the ground up, with passion, expertise and a natural talent for connecting with people and bringing out the best in his crews.
Over 25 years, Nick has worked across six continents on projects spanning live sport and music events, feature documentaries, unscripted television, scripted drama, branded content, advertising campaigns, corporate film and everything in between. The formats change. The standards don't.
That breadth is deliberate. Every genre teaches you something the last one didn't — how to move fast without losing quality, how to hold a creative vision under pressure, when to lead and when to get out of the way. Nick has done all of it, and it shows in how he runs a production.
