Icon International provided production services in Barcelona for DMG Productions during the filming of an episode of Advancements with Ted Danson, an educational television series exploring technological innovation across a wide range of industries. Filmed at Poble Espanyol, the Barcelona segment examined how emerging financial technologies are reshaping digital asset trading through advances in decentralised finance (DeFi).
The programme featured Krypton Labs as a case study, exploring the evolution of peer-to-peer trading architecture and the development of technologies designed to improve transparency, execution quality and cost efficiency within digital asset markets. Through executive interviews and supporting B-roll, the segment examined how next-generation decentralised trading mechanisms are addressing many of the structural limitations of both traditional financial systems and earlier blockchain-based exchanges.
Working closely with the U.S. production team, Icon supplied local production services, filming broadcast-quality interviews and supporting footage while maintaining the impartial, editorial style of the series.
