Ahead of the 2025 ATHLOS athletics event in New York, Icon International provided production services in Spain for a profile film featuring Olympic and World Champion Marileidy Paulino. The production formed part of a series of athlete features designed to introduce competitors through personal stories, combining cinematic interviews with observational footage captured in their everyday training environments.
Working in partnership with Crews Control, our team supplied the Director of Photography, sound recordist, photographer, cameras, lighting and production logistics, coordinating filming across multiple locations in Castellón de la Plana. The production combined sit-down interviews with documentary-style coverage on the athletics track, throughout the city and along the coastline, creating a visual portrait that reflected both the athlete’s personality and her connection to place.
Designed for broadcast, social and promotional platforms ahead of the event, the production balanced high-end sports storytelling with an efficient location-based workflow, delivering premium visual content for one of athletics’ most exciting new competitions.
