For the Peacock documentary Dr. Death, Icon International provided comprehensive production services for location filming in Barcelona. Working with Maxine Productions and in partnership with Crews Control, we supported the U.S. production team throughout a multi-day shoot combining documentary interviews, observational filming and location B-roll.
Our role extended well beyond crew provision. Prior to filming, we coordinated local logistics, arranged specialist equipment, organised transportation, and assembled a bilingual production team to support both the visiting filmmakers and contributors. During production, Icon supplied a fixer and translator, sound recordist, camera assistant, grip and lighting support, production assistant and local transport, while also managing contributor movements and interview schedules across Barcelona.
Documentary production often depends on trusted local partners who can solve problems before they arise. By managing logistics, contributors, equipment and local coordination, Icon enabled the visiting production team to focus entirely on telling the story.
