Icon International provided production services in southern Spain for Tracee Travels, the Roku Original travel docuseries hosted by award-winning actress, producer and entrepreneur Tracee Ellis Ross. Premiering in 2025 on The Roku Channel, the series follows Ross as she embarks on a collection of solo journeys, exploring destinations through their culture, food, architecture, design and local communities.
For the Spanish episode, production was based in Marbella, where the series captured the region’s distinctive blend of Mediterranean lifestyle, contemporary luxury and Andalusian heritage. Designed as a more personal style of travel documentary, the production combined cinematic destination photography with intimate storytelling, requiring carefully selected locations that reflected both the character of the region and the creative vision of the series.
Icon delivered comprehensive production services throughout the Spanish shoot, providing production management, location scouting, filming permits, local crew, transport coordination and production logistics. Working closely with the visiting production team, we ensured efficient filming across multiple locations while supporting the flexibility required for documentary-style production centred around real experiences and spontaneous moments.
Filming in an active international destination required careful coordination between location owners, local authorities and suppliers to maintain an efficient production schedule while preserving the authentic atmosphere that defines the series. Icon’s local expertise enabled the production to move seamlessly between locations, allowing the creative team to focus on capturing Marbella’s unique sense of place.
