For their long-awaited return to the studio with the album Timeless, Scottish band Wet Wet Wet chose Barcelona as the backdrop for the music video for Too Many People, the album’s lead single and one of the final releases to feature original vocalist Marti Pellow.
Produced in collaboration with long-time colleague and cinematographer Adam Docker of Red Earth Studio, the production embraced Barcelona’s distinctive urban character to create a cinematic visual style that complemented the song’s reflective themes. From contemporary architecture to Mediterranean streetscapes, the city became an integral part of the video’s visual identity.
Icon International was engaged to provide local production services, managing locations, assembling experienced local crews and coordinating the logistical requirements of an international music video shoot. Working closely with the visiting production team, we ensured the production moved efficiently across multiple locations while allowing the creative team to focus on delivering the visual concept.
